...When the Scripture uses the word “transformed,” it is the same Greek word as metamorphosis; the complete permanent change of the caterpillar into the butterfly. As God changes us, we will experience freedom! This includes freedom from sin, shame, lies, and oppressive emotional and spiritual (demonic) bondage. The result of this freedom is that Christ will be glorified through us.
Like David, ask the Lord if there is any offensive way in you (Psalm 139:24). Then repent and ask the Spirit to fill you and give you power over this attitude or behavior. Receive whatever discipline, trial, lesson or challenge He wants to bring to you so that “you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:4). Allow Him to transform you to be the beautiful “butterfly” that you were created to be!
